This week, we are pleased to announce that we have received planning approval for a new manager's house, specifically designed for a premier thoroughbred breeding and boarding facility situated in the picturesque Harrogate district of North Yorkshire.
The existing stud and farming operations are actively undergoing significant development, which includes the recent appointment of one of the country’s most recognized and leading trainers to oversee and manage these operations effectively.
The proposed new Manager's House, along with the planned Guest Owners facilities, will ensure direct onsite management of the operations, catering to the various stabling and care facilities located within the expansive site.
The proposal includes the construction of a spacious 4-bedroom dwelling, which will incorporate a guest owners suite.
It is strategically located in a well-screened paddock, where horses can be brought to the dwelling, allowing guests and owners to view them directly in a comfortable and inviting setting.
The design draws its inspiration from the broader aesthetic of the general farm, utilising the classic “Barn” form as the foundational basis for the proposal. This approach features a profiled clay tiled roof, along with Yorkshire Board timber cladding, positioned above an antique brick base that harmonizes with the surrounding buildings.
To complement this cohesive look, timber windows and doors are included, enhancing the overall aesthetic appeal and maintaining a strong connection to traditional architectural elements on the farm. #yorkshire #design #architecture #planning #residential #house #home #refurbishment #bespoke #inspire #inspiration #uk #building #construction #archdaily #building
